I am an active person who has served on a host of boards over the years, happily in weighty positions like treasurer/financial manager and once in a while as chairman. I like the management style that is needed in voluntary associations, where you cannot give orders, but have to motivate “the others” to do a job because they want to. It is a lot like the way we work at Pingala.

Over the years, I have had a wide range of hobbies, from walkie-talkies to ham radio, folk dancing, sports cars, kayaking – long before everyone started doing it – beer policy and brewing, sailing, line dancing and much more. I am at my best when in motion.

I originally graduated as a low-current engineer specializing in data (digital electronics) and my plan was to develop hardware, but back at the start of my studies in the 1980s, a friend lured me into designing and programming a bookkeeping system for a law firm. That ended up being my destiny! After a few years as a hardware developer, network consultant and finance manager in a few smaller companies, I started to tinker so much with a Damgaard XAL that I was hired as a consultant at Damgaard, and was thus back where I started. Since then I was a freelance for a long time before coming to Pingala.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of primarily Scandinavian companies, where I have primarily maintained their systems and made continuous adjustments. But I have also been a “client’s man” in relation to a large supplier. My specialty is the core areas of most businesses, finance, commodities and money flow.
