It should be fun and meaningful!

I graduated as a civil engineer without specialization at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). I focused on two areas of mathematical modeling, using Fortran77, and the company's working environment. I ended up writing a thesis on security organization management. I was introduced to ERP in 1995 and have been working with it ever since. I was initially focused on the technical side of ERP, but along the way I have learned more and more about uses for ERP applications in companies. I have taken on many different roles as both employee and as business owner, e.g., developer, consultant, project manager, development manager with personnel responsibility, CEO, shareholder and board member. Over the years, I have worked with ERP systems from Damgaard (C4, C5, XAL and Axapta) and Microsoft (Dynamics AX and 365).

I have worked both domestically and internationally (in the US, the Netherlands, Greenland, Finland and Dubai), primarily for general contractors and businesses. I have traveled extensively to work locally with my clients. In my experience, it is essential to understand and document the client’s business processes and to achieve good relationships at several levels in the client’s organization. That is the cornerstone of a longlasting partnership that is the best for both parties.

I focus a lot on using standard functionality, a little creatively, one hopes, instead of developing new functionality. I believe that, above all, my clients should build up their administrative processes on an ERP system instead of using a “best of breed” approach. Dynamics is a standard system with the same user interface everywhere, but it covers a lot of business areas and is supported by Microsoft's technology stack. It has been my experience that in a “best of breed” strategy, the resources to be used for integration - and their maintenance - are significant. In addition, the client’s employees must be trained in multiple systems, each with its own user interface. If new functionality is to be developed, it must make sense and the development must be done without ruining the standard application.

I have worked in several ERP areas, focusing on standard modules in financing, customers and sales, suppliers and procurement as well as stocking. I also have experience with the modules project, inventory management and Lessor Payroll, as well as extensive experience with interfaces. I work systematically am capable of teamwork or working independently.

Pingala is a fantastic place to be. There are good colleagues who know a lot about Dynamics, there is room for differences and in practice we are self-governing. We do what makes sense and we have fun going to work ... every day!
