Henrik Carstens

I have a background as a plastic toolmaker and tool designer, and I have been employed in development departments as a product developer using CAD and CAM until 1996, when I changed careers into the IT industry. Since then, I have built/gained (?) great experience and competences as an IT architect, IT consultant and internal IT employee.

I have worked within a wide range of IT with emphasis on ERP implementation, application support, production support, implementation and development of IT business infrastructure, application development and integration.

Throughout the years, I have worked with the following ERP systems: C5, XAL, AX (from version 1.5), Navision, SAP and D365FO. In recent years, my focus has been on the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 portfolio, and I find great satisfaction in familiarising myself with new technologies and functionalities regarding infrastructure/applications.

I always try to find simple and long lasting solutions, which makes the solution easy to maintain, use and operate in the future.

Key qualification:

• System administration at Microsoft: Azure, Windows Server Platforms & MS SQL databases for ERP systems
• ERP implementation (setup, configuration, operation)
• ERP application support and development (incl. Architecture, FDD, TDD work, DevOps)
• Organisation of  workshops to uncover user requirements and wishes
• Training of end users in a wide range of applications
• Project planning regarding implementation of IT infrastructure based on Microsoft components
• Project planning regarding implementation and development of ERP systems
• Project management regarding mergers of companies, including IT infrastructure and HR IT systems
• ITIL processes (CAB, Change management, Release management, Service management)
