Dawid Viljoen

After being more than 10 years in this game that is called Microsoft Dynamics AX, I have learned that there is more to life and work, than what is always the “wanted” way to do things.

I have come from being a person, that always says yes, and/or no to a task, to being a person that asks for the relevance and benefit of the assigned task, to make an evaluation of the cost benefit.

By nature, one could see me as a negative person in life, but those that know me, will tell you that I’m an honest person, that always speak my mind, and who will always be honest with you, no matter how you will react to it. One of my very favorite song phrases, that I use to describe myself, comes from the Alphaville song, Forever Young – “Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst, are you gonna drop the bomb or not”

Even thought it might seem that I am negative, the people that know, know me as a bit of a joker, that likes to tease people. Good friendship and a relaxed collegial work environment makes me whom I am.

I love nature, and being outside. I am passionate in working outside in my garden, and keeping it neat and tidy. I am passionate about growing my own veggies, and cooking with them.

Die feit dat ek van Suid-Afrika af kom, het my baie gehelp, veral in my profesionele lewe.

Ek was, en is, nie bang om werk te doen nie, en ook nie om lank en hard te werk nie. Inteendeel, het dit my net beter gemaak. Soos die gesegde sê: “Ek werk hard, en ek speel hard”.
