“I don't know anything about luck, but the harder I train, the more lucky I get." ~ Ingemar Stenmark

I feel lucky: working with D365 for operation (AX) for decades, it has become so much more than work, it is a passion.

Before I got into consultancy I spend many years working with mainly logistic, IT and administration, on the customer side of the table.

Because of my way into the Consultant business, I am well aware of the concerns of a customer, when implementing an ERP system or any other IT project.

With the introduction of D365 for operation, Microsoft has taken a huge step into removing many of the former issues. Issues with lots of customization, which cost a fortune to upgrade.

Customization can still be necessary, but now when it is no longer possible to overlay, it forces developers to write code as it meant to be, with respect to standard. Extending not changing.

With the motto “cloud first”. Microsoft introduce yet another challenge, is the world ready for cloud?A few year have now gone by, and we now see customers has taken up the challenge, and it is no longer a pilot project for customers to move into the Dynamics Cloud.

It will be worth the extra effort. It will reduce the TCO, when its no longer unmanageable upgrading to next version, and customers will benefit of always have the newest Technology available. I think MS has shown the way, and I am looking forward to be part of the journey.

I feel lucky and humble, that I have the possibility to work in Pingala, where I am surrounded only with the most competent colleagues, an oasis for some one like me (and You?) and a trustworthy and honest partner for customers who also knows that: Confidence comes from knowing the territory
